Im planning a photoshoot 2 weeks away. Im not comp condition just yet but not too far from it.

It will be outside and both colour and black and white. Was interested in hearing how others have prepped for photoshoots? Carb depleted? Used diuretics? I will be nice and suntanned (no dreamtan thanks) but not sure whether to shave legs and arms (chest is waxed).

Any tips are appreciated (including yours doc! :pfft: )

Depends on what sort of look you're going for mate, but for a general photo shoot where you wanna just look good but not trying to win a contest, i wouldnt dehydrate or carb deplete etc... provided your lean enough, however keep the carbs reasonably low for the next 10 days or so if you're holding bit of fluid, drink plenty of water, and then increase your carbs very gradualy the last 2 or 3 days before the shoot, nothing drastic just a slight increase in the carbs and you should be nice and full on the day and not look like you've been through hell and back. You can also lower your water intake on the day if you want.

Definitly shave everything, I recomend doing it the night before or about 15 or so hours before the shoot, I find freshly shaven skin can on some people have a slight inflamation effect which would blurr you out a bit.

Dont worry about the little stuble you might have as a result of shaving the day before, it would be unnoticable unless you do super close up body shots.

go with Bobstas advice totally. Most people cut their carbs out and end up looking sad and flat on the day, then hating the pics afterwards... also the pro-tans or the "contest colour" is brilliant with one coat on - leave overnight then rinse off - no soap the next morning. you will be even coloured and you will be the colour you most probably want for your shoot.. I have done shoots thinking I am brown enough with natural tan and on the day - it is never enough.. Enjoy the moment - you will feel awesome.
