deadlifting yesterday,it was the first time iincirporated barbell rows before deads ,was on my final set with a staggered grip when the bar tilted towards the left and i heard felt a crunch just above my tailbone,

Nearly blacked out from the pain .had a few nsaids and got some cold and hot therapy done last night.cant really bend at the waist and getting up and sitting down is not fun.will go to see doctor today any advice on getting me back to the gym asap?First real gym injury usually im more careful felt like superman yesterday! :pfft: turned out to be batman!

did similar thing about 3 months ago still not right but chiro helped alot. What goes crack generally isnt muscle iMO. I would go to a chiro asap and get them to put you straight for a few sessions. Physio may help the muslce but if the spine is out you will get unbalanced then need to get it remedied later on anyway. It really takes the pain away really quickly. On a side note I partial deadlifted for 4 sets 100kg x 10 today so mine is slowly coming right.

damn nuisance when you injure yourself. Like has been said, recovery, but I also wouldn't take the docs word as gospel, pays to get a second opinion sometimes. Unfortunately it takes an injury to take form seriously, too often we lift a little carelessly and think we're bulletproof. All the best.

went to the doc said it was just muscular damage gave me some morphine tabs and told me to lay off for a bitlike I had a choice lol.thanks for the advice guys.

Hey vracula, did the doc give you a time period?? I've got a similar soreness after DL a week ago.

Doc didnt give a time period.

pain has almost gone now,I can walk and sit fine,still feel a little tense in the lower back def wont be attempting anything stupid for 2 weeks.
