I've met quite a few pro BBs over the years. Love to hear others views, experiences.

Your thoughts, stories about any pros you've met in your travels.

I'll start..

Flex Wheeler...smallest joint to muscle belly ratio I've ever seen. Saw him at the strongest arms comp in Wellington where Levi (Mr Mitre 10 Mega) and Justin also tested arm strength remember that bigkiwi? Have the vid footage still. Flex was a guest poser just after he won the Arnold Classic so was still in great shape Seemed friendly enough shook hands and posed for photos afterwards with the punters for free. Couldn't believe how his muscles looked, like air had been pumped in as tight as poss.

Lee Preist...Met him in Oz at a training seminar he was in resonable offseason shape, very short, remember his legs dangling off the end of the seat and not touching ground. I liked listening to him coz straight shooter tells it how it is told everybody what gear he uses which was a lot less than expected and also declared has never touched growth hormone. His off season diet I remember was absolute crap heaps of takeaways and huge kcals. strong as did some exercises and then posed...incredible mass on a small frame.

Victor Richards....Guest posed in NZ at Nationals many years ago Definately one of the biggest BB ever didnt say much though.

Ronnie Coleman...saw this big black dude just kickin back on a seat out the front of Te Papa. I couldnt help myself and just walked up to him and started yakking. He was really easy going and happy to have a chat. He was the nicest pro Ive met easily. He was here competing in a show as part of a pro circuit. Wish we could get that show here again.The vascularity and sheer size blew me away. The veins in arms were like pipes.

Chris Cormier...most intimidating, looked mean as, didnt say shit all, sunglasses, ipod in ears, not interested in mingling with the locals. (So didnt really meet him)

Flex Lewis I got a photo with him,but i lost my 1gig memory card last week after getting sum prints! :cry:

he came to my old gym last year and gave us a chat about himself and how he got where he is today.

Jaroslav Horvath - great physique nice guy

Ronnie Rockel - quietly spoken - most under-rated bodybuilder.

Luke Woods - talkative, very approachable

Dexter Jackson - could barely get boo out of this guy

does anyone else here realise that it must be close to half of nz pros are convicted criminals. no wonder they wanna hand them for free imagine if that staistic got out how bad the sport would look... f*ck the positive drug test publicity lol

Don't know if Oomps posts on here, but probably has the best collection of meets and stories from within NZ, his story of Ronnies opinion of Dorian is inspiring. To say he (Ronnie) rates him (dorian) high is understated.
