Tua seeks confidence

There is a reason David Tua has chosen a little-known opponent for his next fight: he wants to regain some confidence

David Tua will fight a little known opponent in March with the aim of trying to get back some confidence after his controversial draw with Monte Barrett in July.

Tua will fight American Demetrice King in Manakau on March 19th. King has a world ranking of 114 and has lost 19 of his 34 fights, including two knock outs.

Tua says after his underwhelming performance against Barrett, this is the perfect chance to rebuild some confidence.

It will be Tua's last fight under his contract with Maori Television.

What confidence is he gaining, that he can knock out a journeyman, pretty weak if you ask me. Maybe its time to retire.

There was something I heard on the radio a while back that there was some issue with his Maori TV deal. Overseas promoters werent too keen on it. This fight may be an easy solution as I think his deal with them was per number of fights (maybe???)

he cant get any decent fights while he still has the maori television deal because they cant gain any revenue from pay tv ,pay per view etc thats why he has to fight a bum to finish his maori tv deal and then he is free again to take on the bigger names which are worth more money under the maori tv deal they simply cant afford to take any big fights

those he still have it ? i dont know but i guess he wont go down not trying so hope he gets one more tittle shot before he calls it a day
