The last one was a Cool store i think and that was over Hamilton ways.Youd think they would have sprinklers at the works but they didnt. No doubt that will be one of the first things on the list for the re-build.They had just spent millions on a new Blast freezer system to.Arsonist....anything is possible down these ways.

Sending them to dargaville would be like rubbing salt in the wounds!

Thats my old stomping ground, not to bad a place to be this time of the year, marlin will be hangn around very shortly, beaches, lakes, ample carparks and great pot :pfft: .

Sorry to hear that guys, I used to work up at TA from time to time with Felix and the previous Plant Manager.

Hopefully the meeting with Keith Cooper goes well and they can find you some work at Dargaville or Pacific?

Nate

That would of been Jamie Ginders.Just had plant meeting.Workers must feel as tho they are going to be pretty well looked after until xmas and the re-build.Pacific is going to take on 190 employees next week when their nightshift starts up

and they may increase production at others plants where possible.

All in all worked out not to bad for most who were affected.

Yeah - was Jamie (he's with Affco again).

Lofty runs Pacific and has got a good team there. Hawkes Bay over Xmas....could be worse places! Accomodation will be the hard part given all the seasonal workers here atm.

Apparantly they have booked enuf accomodation for 150 people already, motorcamps and uni/polytech were mentioned with a number of other places still to get back to company.

Lofty had a few words to say seemed like a decent sort of guy, obviously eats well to

LOL - he has a luvly young lady that cooks very well! He eats like a king!

Pacific's got a good crew, if you've got nothing better to do I'd jump at the chance.
