Sorry guys i know this isnt a review but i thought it would be the best place to find my answer.

A few months ago i tried creatine and it didnt really do anything,

so then about a month or so ago i started taking JACK3D, and for the first few weeks it really did what it said it would,,but lately it hasnt been having the same effect, and i cant afford to have like 3 scoops at a time!

So...I was thinking about trying some "100% Whey Protein", anyone have some personal experience on that? :D

You can make no comparison between the mentioned suppplements. I am sure jack3d worked in the "Stim" area with more drive and focus effect.

Why would you say did the creatine not work, what did you expect from it, how was your nutrition?

Whey Protein is just another protein source in quite an easily digestible and convenient form, in saying that you will not build muscle without adequate protein but you should not rely on whey as a sole source of protein and rather just supplement with it.

Whats your goal, and what kind of training do you do (Routine & Intervals)

I'll admit that my diet isnt the best!haha but its getting better from what it use to be.

Well lately ive been really doing work on my chest, because it seems like im going to end up like popeye and have big arms but no chest!

So i do alot of dumbbell bench cause i dont have a spotter to do normal bench, and i usually do 12,10,8,6 going from heavy to light. (sorry im still kidna new to all this, been going to the gym for about 5 months now.

Any advice would be really helpful.

Thanks

Hey mate, as Hennie touched on, the 3 things you've mentioned are pretty different.

Jack3d is predominantly a pre-workout stimulant, basically to kick your arse into gear before you train. In my experience with it, I found the more I took it, the less effect it had on me. So when I started taking it only when I needed the kick up the arse (once a week these days, if that often), the effects remained pretty constant - and I only take 2 scoops at a time. I was briefly in the "3 scoops doesn't do much for me" mode, and when I backed off for a while (read: ran out :pfft:), then went back on, I started to get a good boost from it again. Long story short - use it in moderation.

As for the creatine, what kind was it? (monohydrate, kre-alkalyn etc...) If it was creatine mono, did you do a loading phase? What sort of serving size did you use, and how often? By the sounds of it - and I'm not having a go at you here - I'm not sure you know exactly what it is meant to do. If I'm right about this, I'd suggest doing some reading on it - here is a good place to start. It can be a very handy supplement, and one of the few that has been proven to work

Ditto for protein - if you're considering swapping Jack3d out for some whey powder, I'm not sure you know what Protein (or the supplementation of it) is for either. Hennie said the basics above, but I'd suggest reading up on the diet, and why protein is an important part of it. We've got a resource for beginners on this site located here, and some basic diet information is here.

Let us know if you have anymore questions mate :)

(p.s. have moved this to the diet/nutrition section ;))

Thanks for the really good info guys. I was using monohydrate, but i also dont think i drank enough water whilst on it :S

I dont have trouble hitting the gym, so i dont think i need to keep going with the jack3d..and i really dont get enough protein (my own fault) which is why ive been looking into some WheyProtein.

But once again thanks for all the help, and im going to check out the links you provided now :D

You cannot even compare these 3.

Well you need protein but using protein powder isnt nessecary its only good for convenience, its much easier drinking 50g whey protein after the gym than cooking up and eating some chicken breast.

Creatine on the other hand is a good supplement but its not nessecary, and pre-workout you dont even need unless you have money to spend.

A good high dose multi-vitamin is basically the only supplement you need, protein powder 2nd because its just so convenient.
