CREME BRULEE....Sometimes, you just need a TREAT!!!

Crème Brulee Serves 4

Normal Ingrediants

2 Cups of Cream (500ml) P= 9.9g C= 14.9g F=189.9g

4 x Egg Yolks P=0g C=1.6g F=28g

½ Cup Sugar (Substitue with Splenda)

1 tsp Vanilla Essence P=0g C=0.5g F=0g

Total Calories: 2068.6cals (Divide by 4servings = 517.15cals per seve

4-8 tsp Castor Sugar (Sprinkle on top afterwards, if you want to?)

Directions:

Heat Cream in Microwave until it Just Boils

Pre Heat Oven 150’c

Fill n Boil Jug (For Water Bath)

Mix, Egg Yolks, ½ Cup Sugar, Vanilla Essence and Whisk.

Pour in Cream and Whisk again.

Make a Water Bath (Tray filled with Boiling Water, enough to submerge 2/3 of the ramekins)

Tip Ingredients into Ramekins, put in Oven for 25-30mins at 150’c

Once out of the oven, let them sit for a while before putting in fridge.

Best Served Cold!

Before Serving, sprinkle Sugar on top, and burn with Gas Torch to caramelize sugar

Enjoy

Notes:

Because Sugar has been substituted with Splenda, it isn’t as sweet as normal.

You can also substitute Egg Yolks with Egg Whites (More Protein, Less Fat), however the consistency will change slightly…….Experiment and Enjoy

Nice one, Muzz. I'll have to give this a try. (BTW, just check your macros... egg yolks definitely have protein in them! :wink:)

I was playing around with a low-carb cheesecake the other day. Choc with raspberry tip, and a ground almond base. Not too bad, but it needs a little more work. I'll post up the recipe once I've tweaked it around a bit more.
