Saw that, was very tempted... but read a couple of mediocre reviews which turned me off it a little. Main gripe I read about was the strap not sitting well - some people found it slipped off when running, which would be bloody annoying.

Looks to be the exact model I had to wear for a exercise physiology lab testing VO2max, 15kph with the incline increasing every minute after 5 mins. I had it bloody tight and never noticed it slipping. Wasn't the most comfortable though, could feel the tightness in a bad way on super deep breaths.

If you've got a smartphone like the iPhone or Android, there are heart rate monitors out there that will talk to it via bluetooth. That means a better screen, and better data logging. In theory, at least - I haven't got one (yet!)

That Polar strap is common to a very large number of their HRMs, I've used one frequently without discomfort. The elastic strap can be bought in different sizes, tho - which might help.

Particularly the well-named HTC Desire - a sexier phone does not exist. All the goodness of Android with HTC's own stunning user interface on top. Leaves the iPhone dead in the water. :grin:

Have a look at Suunto heart rate monitors if you dont like those uncomfortable chest straps.
