everyone is jumping on the intermittent fasting bandwagon now, just shows how fickle the nutrition industry and their gurus are.after years of putting forth the starvation mode theory they are all shunning it away.just proves all you need is a common sense approach and loads of self determination.

I think the starvation mode theory is related to long term fasting or being in a large deficit, not 16 hours, or even up to 2 days of fasting. As to being fickle, if new research opposes what was previously thought to be true, sticking to previous ideas would just be ignorant. I agree that whatever works for you is best and worth sticking to, if you're getting results why change? However if results slow, or you start getting uncomfortable etc it's worth trying something new.

The nature of their business is that they need to say/do something different to stand out. Common sense should apply. What I don't understand is why people believe everything they read.

it get's very confusing really ,you assume these people know what they are talking about, what we also would like to believe is their pockets are not lined by the supplement industry.Butwhat is really funny though is how everyone just tweaks the same new found revelation and act like they came up with it all by themselves.

just waiting for an issue in flex or muscle mag 6 months from now with this new diet lol.

The link posted above is to a WHO document backed by scientic evidence - this information is qualified. I think you may still find bias in it as they represent the mainstream of people - i.e not bbing focused but at the end of the day we are all human and function near enough the same way.

personally i think its middle of the road everytime, while your right, it swings in round abouts with trends (million meals vs IF)

it doesnt have to be (and probably shouldnt) be at either extreme, the bro science of eating every two hours for a constant supply of nutrients is long since been put to bed though....if you prefer to eat that way, then good for you. Just so long as you realise its not the only way.

body building is famous for confirmation bias ie if a muscular guy is eating green bananas cause thats what gorillas eat, then eating green bananas is a great idea full stop

Interesting. I eat 8 times and day, hardly millions, but a lot. Jason Ferruggia talks about working out how many calories you need and dividing by 3-4 meals. The reason I eat 8 times a day is so that I can get enough food in. No bro science here. No science at all. It's not about digestion and nutrients. It's as simple as being able to get enough food in.
