My money's on Jo in the womens and looking forward to seeing SG in the mens!

Good money

I'd call Jo as favorite but it'll be close. Another friend thought Kaye, and another told me an Aussie girl is supposed to be coming across and would also be close! Sounds awesome!

Good to here SG. Android not in this show? That'd be a good showdown!

I saw Kristian at Les Mills last week & he is competing. His condition was down in HB a month or so ago (compared to Auckland NZIFBB previous), be good if he brings his A-game. Must be tough doing that many shows.

Kristian needs to bring his legs ... great upper body but his legs havent been at the same thickness. SG would clean him up. Thats the challenge in competing that many times > some of the bigger muscle groups don't come as good. In saying that he seems to be able to play them off on stage so as not to pose them off against some of the bigger guys >>> and always good to see guys like him come through.

This is going to be a fantastic inaugural competition into the North Island for NABBA/WFF. Big props to Wendy, Gary, Leanne, Alex from Auckland & the NABBA/WFF Exec Team from around NZ for putting this show together. Over 500 tickets have been sold by Ticketek to the event tomorrow with registrations still incoming today suggesting a record competitor turnout to this show including 4 from Australia making the quality of competitors one of the highest we will see this year in NZ. Look out for a close contest between Jo & Kaye in NABBA Womens Physique, NABBA Men are looking huge & WFF Figure is another class to watch out for. 20/20 will be there filming a program on BBing as well as Pukana from Maori Television. Wait till you see the trophies... Amazing! Prizes...the 40+ sponsors have been very generous. Dont miss this one.

Was a good show, well run with no problems. Congratualtions to my client Naera for taking out her division and the overall figure titile. And congrats to soundsgood also for winning his division.

I thought some of the judging disisions were a bit strange, but they were consistantly strange from one division to the next which is all you can ask for really. There was a definate theme that was being judged as being superior to all other criteria, so while some of the disisions were not what you might have expected, by the end of the night it was easy to guess who was going to win what simply by following this criteria.

What was the trend the judges were going for HP?

Bummed out I couldn't make the show, well done SG and Naera...

Bobsta, I think what HP is saying is that the judges seemed to rate mass above conditioning - even in the Athletic and Figure classes. After the show, someone else made the same comment to me. Still, as you say, HP, they were consistent in applying this criteria.

I had to work in the morning, so I missed the beginning of this show. But there was a good crowd which pretty much filled the auditorium - at least at the beginning. After the WFF half of the show finished, the numbers dropped rapidly. I'm not sure whether this indicates the popularity of the WFF classes, or just that over 6 hours is a long time for an audience to sit. (Having said that, I definitely prefer the one-show format.)

Sadly, my camera didn't make it past the first half either. But I did manage to coax enough juice out of it to get a shot of Soundsgood in the Overall lineup at the very end. If anyone else has more photos, post them up!
