12pm-6pm... 6 hours long!!?? why so long?

thatll get boring as hell wont it?

One show format bro. They do the quarter turns/compulsory poses, individual routine and pose down back to back. Then move to the next class. Overall follow at the end. (making it sound like I know what I am talking about lol).

Makes for a great show. Anything but boring. Sitting through a whole prejudging and then returning for a night show is boring.

been studying bro? lol yeah im sure its not boring 6 hours just seems like a long time to sit and watch bodybuilding comp... so many classes too? you would need lots of entries to make it a good competition to watch.... im not a big fan of 2 people in each class but spose this is NZ with 4 bodybuilding federations so cant expect much better.

all good

One show format runs like clockwork fella. Generally alot of the crowd don't stay for the whole show but they cycle in and out depending on what class is up. This is good for the promoters with more bums on seats and good for the athletes because more time and money is put back their way. Plus the crowd stays fresh and enthusiastic. \:D/

Go check out the Auckland show well worth the coin. :D

Tom its not likely to go that long. If there are 50+ athletes it can get up to 5 hrs to run thru but as Doc & Lee says it just flies by because each class is run & judged straight up. Only the winners come back for the overalls at the end & most of the audience stays to see who wins overall. Its great for the athletes not having to go thru the whole day dehydrated & trying to keep the body up to speed & for the audience as a continuous entertainment spectacle. Make sure you check out the Pan Pacifics on Sunday 28 August in Ak at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna. Be interested to see what your comments are.
