My leg workouts generally take 1.5-2hrs. I see in the mags all the time suggested leg workouts, and they would pretty much be impossible to complete them in anything under 1.5-2hrs, yet in the same mag they talk about how workouts should only be an hour!

Im not referring to HIT here (dorian style) more high volume training.

so just wondering what others are doing time wise?

FYI I currently i do....

Squats

2x warmups (2x12)

1x10, 2x8 - heavys

1x10 heavy minus 20%

Leg Press

1x10 240kg

1x10 280kg

1x10 320kg

1x8 360kg

1x6-8 280 - dropset.

Romainian deadlifts - supersetted with leg extensions

1x warmup

3x15 working sets.

Leg curls

1x warmup

3x10-12 working sets

Standing Calve raises

1x warmup

3-4x12-15 working sets

Seated calve raises

1x warmup

3x 18-12 working sets

Rests are generally 2mins between sets as all weight are pretty heavy for me, and last set of each is to failure.

i have mixed it up with 10x10 and only 3 exercises for 5 weeks, 1min rest. but found better growth from the above.

My sessions last that long as well due to training only 4 days per week (and often 2 of those are implements so trying to cram a lot in).

That said I eat throughout my training sessions.

If its working just run with it, if you're not growing or are starting to feel beat down all the time shorten things up for a while.
