anyone use 1?

looked at buying one today. like a wrist watch and then has a band around ur chest too

range from 150-950!!

the more expensive ones come with software to track ur progress and or goals on a program. then have graphs etc on ur heart rate, distance run, time, etc etc etc

heaps of features!

would be good for seeing your progress and making sure your in 'the zone' if your training for specific targets

also you can set intervals etc if u were doing HIIT. or setting times for rest periods during sets

I use a Polar one too. I've had it for about 6/7 years now and still looks good as new. Was quite pricey when I brought it but not really too different to the latest Nike/Adidas sports watches. I don't bother uploading the data to the computer or anything though, just use it for basic heart rate monitoring, hr zone alarms and calorie expenditure.

I use a Suunto HR monitor and think they are pretty cool. I don't load anything on-line or track anything like that. It is simply used to track my heart rate when i'm exercising.

You don't need a flashy one for that.

My advice would be to get one from Rebel Sport when they have a 33% sale on.
