Political......

Reasons I've heard include:

1) To get rid of any drug cheat records (so they can be replaced by more drug cheat records presumably! :pfft: What about lifetime drugfree guys that will lose records!!!!)

2) To align with WLing in order to get closer to Olympic acceptance (dreamers - with cycling & WLing does the IOC need more drug scandals? And as for bench shirts & squat suits can the public really understand the sport?)

3) To seperate IPF from all other PLing federations (why splinter the sport more with the weight class changes)

4) Just to remind lifters of how almighty and powerful the IPF is.... LOL

Crazy, but hey its happened no point whinging! :pfft:

Totally agree Nate!

There's way too much power in Europe and certain IPF execs have their own agendas to watch out for (as well as money making interests). Even with this change it wont make any difference and the IOC will never accept Powerlifting as a sport (well not in my lifetime) because of the drugs, the equipment and the lifts. As a spectator sport (and I say this with all honesty) it takes too long and the can be quite boring. As a lifter though, its exhilarating and self challenging.

Im now recordless....hahahaha :pfft:
