wellington suppliment stores

Hi,

I've been lifting weights for two months now and taking protein shakes and eating well. I'm happy with the way things are going. I've successfully lost the bit of fat I had around my waist and face while staying the same weight and building a bit of muscle.I'm now still 178cm and 73kg but without the spare flabby stuff. With just a couple of months until summer I've decided to try to look as good as I can for the beach at New Years and that has made me think about taking creatine and ramping up the workouts to four times a week. Maybe aiming for 78kg and same % body fat. (not sure if thats a reasonable target?).

If anyone can tell me where a physical store is to buy creatine in Wellington I would appreciate it. Also, if there is a better way to achieve my goal than by adding creatine to my diet I would be all ears.

Thanks for your time, Framer

Framer, theres more here than just telling you where the nearest creatine store is.

Check out some of the training logs that match closest to your goals.

Theres a huge variety to choose from but some of the weight programs the rugby guys use in the off season probably go close to what you need to hook in to.

For the record you can buy creatine cheaper on line through Punch Supplements and anywhere else you type in "cheap creatine"

My boys @ ASN in Lower Hutt will help you out. They match anyone online. Its on the corner of Pretoria and High street. Creatine Monohydrate stand alone is oldschool though bro, you should really read up on other peoples stacks and see what would suit your training and diet.

Protein is always the place to start too mate.

Oh shit when did creatine mono become old school. Better put it up on the shelf with my dessicated liver tabs. Yeah NO boosters and pretraining formula's are what all the big guys use now so get yourself one of those and you'll get huge. Leave creatine mono to the old skinny guys.

If you think HYPE and fancy labeling will contribute to muscle gain, then yes, creatine is old school.

Good posts Hennie & Flex,

However a newbie might miss the (less than subtle) sarcasm! Just for the record I'll state it:

Protein - good start for supplements once diet is sorted

Creatine - the next best thing to pharmaceuticals! Old school maybe, but proven yes!

Save your moneyfor food until you've thrashed out the gains from using the above for a few months.

I was mearly stating that using without proper nutrition and so forth would be a massive waste of money and time.

Not sure how telling someone to go get hooked up at the local discount sports nut store is telling them that it is a waste of time and money to use supps without the right nutrition.

Didn't he recommend protein as a start before anything else.....don't know him from a bar of soap, but that seems a pretty ethical direction he's offering.

For my money creatine is not as effective in my body as it once was, and the new pre training products often include creatine and delivery systems that assist it's uptake and performance - therefore giving me the creatine effect of old that I no longer get from straight creatine.

Creatine had plenty of hype when it first came out, think Bill Phillips was pushing it to the limit with EAS, before that it was Ferulic Acid (sic).

You asked for supplement shops in Wellington I helped, I also offered "My" opinion on creatine by itself (minus protein or nutrition)

I am of the opinion that nutrition is first and foremost, I may not have a tonne of posts on here but that shouldn't mean my views should be quashed. I will extend the olive branch and hope that the flaming will cease?

The ASN plug was just to let everyone know that there are more options in Wellington. Not here to compete with any other well established and respected traders.
