how many shakes a day????

I used to take as many as i needed to fill in the gaps of my daily amount. Say i wanted 300g a day i would estimate how much id eat in meats then make up the rest with shakes. Somedays i would find it diffucult to get 1 meal with a decent serving of meat protein so id be chuggin a shake every couple of hours.

I dont think there as a so called 'maximum' alough insanely large amounts would stress your body a bit. I think over time your body adjust to the increase in daily protein intake.

I say have as many as you need. The only reason i dont use it regulary is because im too poor. If i had the money id be chuggin them back again.

I have 2 aday one half hour after my work out and the other during the day sometime. I keep to 2 because I have been told in the past that you need to be getting most of your protien from solid food, I believe this and hasve found I gain best this way. Shakes should make up less than 50% of your protien intake. my 2c anyway!

I have 5 a day. In between meals & a big PWO shake. I'm allergic to a lot of foods (eggs for one), so my protein sources are limited. I just mix it straight with water.

My body handles it fine. I used to mix my shakes with milk but my body had a hard time dealing with that (2L a day).

I think you just need to go with what feels right for yourself. Shakes are an excellent way to supplement protein intake, especially for people like me who are stretched for time during the day.
