AAS - Pros and Cons

Working off some comments posted yesterday, wondered whether it would be worth posting up what you have experienced that you feel is good about AAS and what are your bad's.

It may help provide real world experiences that may assist others.

Whenever I've thought about it (and read up about it), I've still thought that I'd want someone who knows the ins and outs to show me through it, and that's not the type of thing you'd walk up to someone and ask :pfft:
Are there any AAS users on here that had a terrible experience there first cycle running 500mg or less test e followed up by pct or taper?

I can't say i know anyone that experienced harsh side effects on a simple 10-15 week cycle

start one, ill list my goods and bads... a thread like this is no good if people bullshit. u ask any guy in the gym whos uses n say wats bad about it. none will say aything even if they know there is.

Well here it is. Be good if we can keep it honest so the info becomes valuable and informative.

Please don't take this as a thread to justify using AAS or condemning them. It should be info that "enlightens".

For me being new to this………..

Pros – able to train a lot harder, make greater gains in my weights, increased focus and determination, great libido. This brings about a better feeling in yourself. I believe it’s helped me put on the extra muscle I wanted that I would have struggled to do, due to my age and starting late in the BB game.

Cons – if you don’t watch yourself you can move too quickly up in weights and cause damage that you weren’t prepared for, but healing is also a lot quicker. Can mess around with your moods.

pros= better recovery, able to train harder and more frequently, better sense of well being, more confidence, better libido, better body composition, more women :)

cons only ones that are noticeable= more aggression, snappy bit moody, gyno flare up occasionally , prostate pain

peace

Just me bro but I dont seem to get more aggressive.

Pros for me : Strength gains. Intensity. Confidence.

Cons : never had any.

Never had anything bad in regards to using gear or come across any fake gear myself. My mrs (now the ex) at the time use to find it funny to punch me in the delts or smack me on the arse after injecting...(efn bitch)

no cons?

would be interesting to get a thorough, unbiased answer to the question. someone who gets regular checkups to see what is happening to them internally would be ideal.

interested in pros and cons of different dosages too. i understand that people respond differently in terms of superficial stuff like hair loss/growth, acne, gyno. i'm more interested in the long term serious sides like permanent testicle atrophy? becoming sterile? fucking your liver? etc

great idea for a thread

Interesting here people say confidence, i have always been confident with opp sex and other areas regardless of gear. Specter are you confident without it, but MORE confident when on?

Cons : never had any.

For me:

2 years ago when i did 500mg pw (first cycle) i woke up through the night from about week 4 soaking wet in sweat at least once a week, i had an increase in acne on my back.

Cons for the missus:

Having a bf thats horny 24/7 ha ha ha

You're not going to get simple answer. Most sides are avoided and controlled with moderate cycles when the right ancillaries used, an on hand.

permanent testicle atrophy is pretty rare, is my understanding.

Do some more research. If you were having regular bloods done, you'd be able to monitor your liver values ect... In order to gauge the tolerance and liver perforce wile using gear. Every one is different, some peoples liver enzymes become elevated wile on...(meaning under possible strain), Others do not. Same with blood pressure ect. Be smart. Do you research. Monitor you're body.

Yeah good question as to the confidence thing, Im saying in my first few cycles when I started using, I always have been confident and a very blunt person(I blame my stepdad for the bluntness) I guess I understated the Pro bit in regards to Confidence. What I meant was I feld efn Invincible bro, and along those first few years of using I got it into my head that I was fucked without gear and took me a while to get my head around the mental side of using gear properly and telling myself that it aint the end of the world when you come off gear.. Anyone on here who disagress otherwise is a goddamn liar in my books bro.

pros are obvious

only cons is that once you make the decision to go on you must stick to a strict lifestyle i think one off the main reasons some dudes get fucked up is because they take the juice then still live a rotten lifestyle eat shit food dont get proper sleep drink to much piss even smoke. steroids put enough strain on your body dont need to go finding otherways to put stress on it.

i have found AAS to benefit me in all areas of life not just my body has helped me move up in my job due to better concentration more energy more drive and confidence.

If you are smart AAS can improve the quality of your life all sides are manageable if you dont start abusing and let them dictate your life.

Yes. Even stock Brokers on wallstreet have been known to use. Have also heard how AAS has been a very effective antidepressant. Shame it's so rarely used due to the stigma. Doubt a doc would even check your test if you told him/her you are feeling depressed. Easier to just throw pills at you...

I haven't used AAS yet but the appeal for me is simply, a stronger, faster, buffer and better version of myself, and at that I'd get there at a faster rate.

I spend quite a bit of time in the gym, and all day trying to keep my diet in check. I'd love to get greater results from that, and being able to train more frequently at the intensity I am satisfied with.

The only thing really holding me back, is testing positive for the stuff. How obvious the effects would be and what my peers would think, and what my family would think. (although I've talked to them)

Any other cons I've heard off I have never heard from someone who's used so it seems like a win from any athletes point of veiw.

Pros:

- Ability to train more intensely and for longer periods of time.

- Ability to recover faster and train again

- Overall feelings of wellbeing (every day is a good day while on, just feel like dancing)

- Getting bigger, stronger, harder, leaner and more vascular.

Cons:

- Depression after coming off even with good PCT.

- When I come off I have no motivation to train and it just feels hopeless putting any effort in to build muscle when there is no testosterone in my body anyway.

- Once you make the decision to start, you don't just do 'a couple of cycles'

- Acne breakouts.

- Short fuse (but generally i'm a nice guy)

- Extremely expensive meaning you have you have to sacrifice other things in life to have it.
