Serious whining going on here, some justified, some not. Good to see BBing politics are alive & well in NZL! :pfft: :grin:

My 10 cents.

Dan won, its history, move on. He's got a good little package, if he can beat the best in the NZIFBB while being cean & weighing 60something more power to him. I suggest others jamming AAS in reconsider their future in BBing if they can't beat Daniel though, the international stage eats anything under 200lbs for breakfast! :nod:

Sanjeev's Pro card, dodgy, not at all! If there's no real objective criteria it's the Execs call at the end of the day, shit they could give 2Guns that Pro card just so he could get into Showgirls if they liked?! :grin: In reality no one should really care except Sanjeev, as MuscleNZ correctly points out a Pro card effectively spells the end of most BBers competitive careers unless they are something truly special. Up to Sanjeev now to show if he is or not. Personally I think the amatuer arena offers more to anyone bar the exceptionally gifted elite BBer.

No homo? but seriously good post. Though it gets confusing and hard to respect the system... Is getting a pro card in NZ

1. knowing the right people?

2. having obtained a certain level of physique? or

3. having conquered a certain shows.

I tend to think it's option 1. I mean with people been crushed by a natural and still getting a hand out. :? No disrespect to those people. It is what it is.

I also thought that was a great post by Nate :clap: :clap: and that kind of stuff dose happen overseas where they hand pro card's to the person who finshes second at nat show.One thing I will give Dan Hibbs huge up's for which is he has got good size on him for a person who dosent use any supps

Nationals poorly organised, i agree there's too much Not what you know but who you know, and who likes who in this sport. I feel the athletes are getting ripped off for all their hard training and dieting.

Athletes were amaizing, the conditioning of Daniel Hibbs and Peter Hunt, The mass monster who is Byron Peach, The symmetry of Sanjeev and the thick full muscle of Suprey, Keeps me hungry to change and grow. I enjoy the friendships made in this sport.

I don't care who you are. Pro cards should only be awarded to top dog, and if you aint top dog, TRAIN HARDER! Chris Cormier never got a sandow but to this day he's still training to make a comeback.

I'd like to see more publicity for bodybuilding in NZ. Joe Weider never did it for the fame and fortune (maybe) but for the passion of the sport and it's athletes.
