I think some of us are choking on the fact that the best bodybuilder in NZ at the moment weighs 60 something. Props to you (Dan) for the awesome achievement of winning the overall national title. Personally I do prefer the top dog to carry a bit more muscle.

ok so sanjeev dosnt win the overalls then has a cry says hes finishing and now hes getting a pro card?... the poor c*nt cant even beat a guy whos 70kg how the fucks he gonna do any good as a pro...

maybe im not all that up with the play... but to me that is just a fucking joke

would love to hear someones veiw who doesnt think its a joke...

I believe he was 3rd overall..... meaning two 70kg guys beat him.

I think dan hibbs had one that show before he even turned up.

he is the poster boy for nzifbb.

was the guest poser at the regional show plus he competed and one the overall at the same show never heard off this before?

was the mc at the nationals night show with his brother plus competed and one the overall never heard off this before? wouldnt you be to bizzy concentrating on the fact your competing at the nationals?

no disrespect he is a great bodybuilder and a great role model but the hole thing seems a bit funny.

And then oh sorry you got screwed sanjeev but heres a pro card to make up for it.

p.s hope i didnt upset to many people just something to think about

Yes Loochi, i have been to many shows which Daniel was competing in.

i was making a point, and i think it was a pretty good one

i do give sanjeev credit, he has a very nice balanced physique, he dosnt have the freak factor though... just a good physique. he should cntinue his amatuer bodybuilding till he can win the overalls then get his procard.

anyway who retires after losing then whe offred procard changes their mind, thats soft! wheres the drive to win and succed towards his pro goal?? he gave up an got given it the soft way.

I had a chat with Daniel at the Nationals TrainHard.

He said he was MEANT to guest pose (And Moe asked him to guest pose because who else would he ask? I don't think he'd ask BigMD after all the drama, right?)

When Moe saw his condition he asked him to compete instead of guest posing and that's when Daniel decided to give Nationals another shot lol. Ofcourse he won the regional over all... There was like 7 competitors remember? I don't think there were any big guys there (from what I remember, correct me if I'm wrong though!)

I wanted Sanjeev to win as well he looked fantastic. Beautiful symmtry, proportions and balance, he made great improvements from his last shows. Daniel just had what most of the judges were looking for that night I guess... Which was top notch conditioning lol.

Tommace: He gave up today bro, I think he was just feeling down... I doubt he actually would have lol. But I can see your point.

Speaking from a personal point of view, Most Bodybuilders once given their Pro Card, particularlily in NZ, spells the end of their Bodybuilding career. Very few have the money, sponsorship, time, not to mention Physique, to go into the American Pro arena. It would be far wiser to stay an Amateur & travel the World through the Amateur Competitions.

purely independant opinion here, I was in the front row and to be honest was cheering for Supri as I have been a long time fan of his, but I believe the judges got it right on the night.

Dan did bring a his best conditioning ever - but also some new parts to his physique (delts nice and cappy, his abs sharper than ever, chest and lower lats thicker than before),

Peter Hunt was razor sharp, with nice structure,

Sanjeev bought his usual crisp but he knows he didn't come onstage with any tan on and that hurt a lot next to Dan, Sup and Peter. Also he looked to me like his legs were down but that maybe due to more size in the upper body altering his balance,

Supri had the most of everything muscularity wise but mistimed his peak.

The decision is who had the best package as noone had everything.
