Ok I have a gut atm and love handles. Kinda flabby I just want to know how big of an influence is food? I will be doing cardio at 5 times a week. Those cardio sessions will be me playing touch rugby with some friends. I'm really wasted at the end and we play for like 1 hour and a half. Another thing what type of food do I eat and when. ATM I have just been eating alot of takeaways like McDonalds, KFC etc.

Do you know how to cook or shop at Pak N Save

Cardio with take aways is better than no cardio with take aways, but to loose fat you will have to drop the take aways, get achievable goals like start with two cheat days a week (days for take aways) and then cut down to once a week.. something like that. Try eating early in the morning and then around every three hours later. Healthier foods:

Carbs:

Kumara, Brown Rice, Cous Cous

Protein:

Eggs, Chciken, Lean Steak

Fiber:

Veges, all bran

.......again, just dissing the take aways is a good start as opposed to getting into details and discouraging you from the start.

Yeah, agree with this. Get rid of takeaways and get used to that then make further changes. My experience is that people making huge changes in one hit don't tend to stick to it (too hard all at once). So if you try making one change at a time, before you know it you'll be eating healthy and looking way better.

Keep a food diary for a week or even just a few days - a genuine one, not a 'this is what I think I normally eat' one and write down every single thing that you eat or drink. Then post it up and I'm sure you'll get lots of feedback and suggestions about where you can make improvements.

Out of reach, out of stomach!

If you don't buy it, you can't eat it

Oh so many times I've suggested to my overweight mother to just not buy the choccie biscuits - so what does she do? She buys them then hides them away so that only she knows where they are - she's fooling no one, surely not even herself
