just read this artical in the truth paper from last mth about Justins cardio myopothy condition.

Sounded alot like anti steroid crap but was wondering what justins veiw point about it all was if interested in commenting

Alot of people have suffered from it that obviously never took steroids although I don't know if they were drug users of other sorts that may have contributed towards the condition.

Justin has mentioned about his high use of fantasia and was wondering if he thinks this may have been an issue or if he noticed problems as they developed over time due to drug use, life stlye choices or if it was just something that may have happened no matter what he did or didn't do.

I'm not asking him that!good on you for making such a retarded sugestion. Asking him about his veiw point about the story and if in his mind steroids are a realistic contributor to his condition, Im sure if big kiwi has a problem with this he will tell me as it has everything to do with him and nothing to do with you.

The only way i can see steroids causing issue towards a heart condition like this would be possible enlagerment of the heart(less pumping action of heart) raised colesterol(narrowing of artires and less blood to heart) Raised blood pressure(heart needs to work harder to pump blood)and increased muscle mass( more area to pump too) . I can really see how myopothoy would happen due to steroids apart from a heart attack. Most of the above mentioned would just have to make the heart work harder but wouldn't really cause the degeneration of the heart muscle?

Not trying to be nosiey towards Justin but trying to discredit the newspapers point really.

he said. speed, eckys, k, bzps. you could find a list online of all the sides steroids have if you were worried about what it will do to you. asking the guy about how he got his heart condition and whether he is finding training harder now could be a bit of a sensitive subject. i know you didnt mean it like that at all and your just curious. just saying if it was me it would be a bit of a sore subject. carry on.

Lately I actually collapsed firstly off plane from Fiji mum took me straight hospital was having heart failure. basically when having it can barely move even couple steps nearly collapse short breath can't do shit training etc as to much effort. My myopathy has my heart the size of a football and has a pump ratio of 20 something percent a normal person is 60 or so. my heart beats twice as fast to try keep up but still doesn't get enough oxygen blood around, then when shit really hitting the fan get fluid on the lungs which makes it even harder to pump. Hope that explains

I saw it...good article but I felt ripped off when the ads came on, the show came back and the story was over.

Justin is in a pretty bad state of health, I hope he'll be okay, and do a lot longer than what his cardiologists say.

I feel the story could have done with a 'what message would you give to others doing going down the path you have'.

Well done Justin for sharing your story.

I cant stand seeing bodybuilding being portrayed negatively especially in a public forum such as tv. I don't know you personally Justin but have watched you since you first entered the competitive scene and I wish you all the best to a speedy recovery but why would you choose to share this on tv. The uninformed public who already think bodybuilding is strange will have a field day with this tragic story. I love bodybuilding and if any of you are ever in a position to represent our awesome sport please do it to show off how great it is and stay away from the negatives and stereotypes that haunt us. The media and haters eat that crap up!
