I got 'Jersey finger' playing rugby  , will have 2x surgery in a months time with 2 months between both surgerys..(should be 100% in 6 months - hopefully)

Any miracle exercises i can do for Upper body workouts, with the function of only 1 hand?

All is welcome..

Thanks for the tips Fellas, Think I'll be Squating and hitting the Abs like theres no tomorrow and might buy resistance bands that you use for strength training to do flys etc with the risk, (no grip needed) so upper body should stay balance..

Got a Sled too, so will use that running backwards for hammys'

When I had a really bad flare up of my carpal tunnel syndrome I could barely use my right hand. I talked to my physio and ended up doing a lot of cable work on a cable cross over machine. To do this I was using a thing that wrapped around my wrist and clipped to the cable with a caribiner clip.

I'd always used free weights before but it turned out cables were really versitile and effective though they took a bit of getting used to. I could work bis, tris, back, chest, shoulders - even abs if I had chosen (not). I'd been really quick to (mis)judge cables till I had no other option. They let me keep symmetry through what I was working.

I don't know anything about your kind of injury, and I would also assume I don't push anywhere near your weights but it might be worth looking into.

I still use cables for a couple of exercises on and off as they allow for a different range of motion and require quite intence work of core stabilisers. Also I work around scar tissue from several old injuries so they help provide options when bits of me get nasty.

Best wishes for a fast recovery and keep persisting with the training.

Yes i would only do the cables with the cuff attachment option or weights hanging from your wrists also. Leg machines pin loaded as well. Keep away from any one sided upper body stuff if you can't do the other side because if you create any imbalance in the muscles it will lead to more issues and eventually cause injury.
