sleep ins, good or bad and why?

do u guys sleep in lots? or never sleep in?

if you sleep in it is time you could be getting your first and sometimes even your second meal down your shute.

i slept in this morning till 11am was first sleep in i have done in ages usually i am up at 8am even on days off and work days up at 5.30am. i felt bad because i should have been having my third meal for day when i was only eating my first.

thoughts and arseholes?

i dont sleep in but sumtimes in the weekend I get up say 6-6:30, have a feed and then go back to bed for a couple hours cos im bored.

i dont drink so am never hungover, and my weekly alarm is 5am so usaly wake up early in the weekend and have a feed.

I do have 15-30minuet afternoon power naps quite often tho.

I'm up at 5 every weekday too. Unfortunately, this means I'm up around this time on the weekends too. It seems I am a creature of habit and will rarely sleep past 7am on weekends unless I am utterly exhausted or have been up till 3 am or something.

I quite like getting up early though, get so much more done in the day.

It's totally seasonal with me. During the week I'm up at 6am, and in the middle of winter I tend to sleep til around 8.30 or 9am on weekends - though sleeping in as late as 9am tends to make me pretty sluggish, but a trip to the gym is usually enough to sort me out.

As it gets into spring and summer I tend to wake up about an hour earlier.

I sleep in if I can - I figure I must need it if I'm able to sleep the extra hour, and generally speaking I'm not very happy about the alarm waking me up at 6am - still want more sleep!

Mate, if you slept in till 11 its coz your body needs the rest. Get your point about the food but sleep is key.

I agree. If your body needs it you'll sleep in. I'm up at 5am every weekday doing cardio. If I had a pretty big session (at the gym) the night before and aren't up to it I'll sleep in that hour. Better to have the rest.

Same on weekends, if the weeks workouts have shagged me I'll wake up late, otherwise it's up around 7 - 8 as I've had enough sleep and the body's awake. Plus the missus gets pissy if I fidget cause I'm awake. :wink:
