I feel like Phil looks like Mr Olympia when he's onstage alone, put him next to the other guys and a few flaws show through.

Side by side, Phil's legs weren't nearly as seperated as Jay and lacked the sweep of Dex, and from behind both he and Branch got dealt to in the rear lat spread by both Jay and Dex. Having said that- full chest and lats from the front, and Jay looks like a fridge doing the ab thigh with his waist as wide as his lats, but then those legs kill it with their condition.

I thought Victor (who I'm not normally a fan of because he never looks cut enough) was a couple of places too low.

Still 2nd place onward is discussing could've beens, the judges got the top call right.

and I'd love to see s few of those 202 guys step up to the Open, Correra looked incredible.

Results at 6pm tonight -

1. Cutler

2. Heath

3. Branch

4. Jackson

5. Wolfe

6. Rockell

If you look at the comparisons on Flex of the pre judging I thought there was very little to separate Phil & Jay. Branch will never beat them because of his symmetry & proportion but has done exceptionally well over the last 2 years to pull in his mid section & improve on his upper body. Jackson & Wolfe deserved their spots with Wolfe making a big comeback from last year but has that chunky European physique that never beats the Americans. Rockell done well to get up to 6th. Phil had to take it off Jay but that was no mean task. Did not think conditioning was as good as last year but the streaming is a shit way to look at it anyway. So so much for the IFBB Pro circuit now back to Amateur Bodybuilding :grin:

i really like ronny rockel's physique. not saying he should have won or anything but imo looks great, and if i ever looked close to that i think i would be forever satified with my physique.

Reckon he'll be vying for numero uno in a few years?

nope. too small .... remember Shaun Ray. Great physique but couldn't not get over powered by the bigger guys. Rockels certainly amazing none the less.

when you see heath and cutler side by side its easier to understand why jay won. Although asthetically Phil Heath has a better physique, Jay just looked a lot sharper.

i still rate the Wolf :clap:

I get that BUT if Phil dethrones Jay then maybe Rockels physique might get a better look?

yeah rockels got a great looking physique but to short,he looks maxed out now with nowhere left to go. look at wolf in the line up with his height and size.It just seems to give him an advantage as he stands out with his physical size.That front lat spead pic of the top 6 that got posted is a good exaple of this.

Phils time is coming, Jay may hold it for another year or two at best. Phil sort of looks like a flex wheeler with those round muscle bellies. he has a better look to his overall physique than jay, its just a shame he's still a little narrow through the chest and calvicals.I was a little sceptical of his ability to improve over the last year or two but has just kept growing and getting better apart from last years hicup(sickness) at the olympia.

Eventhough I've always been a fan of flex, looking at the pics above I gotta say Phils physique looks a lot better, Flex's shoulders were a bit overdone in those last outings.

Phils just got the beautiful full muscle bellies all over, nothing's realy missing, its hard to fault his physique from any angle, apart from the obvious structural narrowness that only becomes aparent when standing next to other guys, but even then it was a lot less aparent this year and I'd say come next year if he stays healthy, he'll take the sandow
