squats and deadlifts on the same day?

It entirely depends on your programming. I do heavy deads and squats on the same day because I cycle light medium and heavy days. I sometimes do find if I do deads first my squats can suffer from lower back tightness. I would think separate days is best for maximum performance and effort, so there's nothing wrong with deadlifts on back day and squats on legs day.

I you train squats on a monday and you got a free workout on say friday do some extra squats if you wanted to, two sessions of squats wouldnt hurt maybe main quad day do em max effort and on other day do em lighter controlled technically sound working on depth etc
