Hi there,

I'm a second year business student at Massey in Palmerston North.

The Gym @ Massey is pretty good for a uni gym (when its not packed) peak times are standard: 6-8am, 11am-1pm and 4-6pm.. In fact it was voted Palmy's best gym 3 years in a row (not sure about this year)..

There are other gyms like cityfitness, contours (women only), and theres another 3 but I can't remember the names.

I'm not sure about other uni's in NZ but Massey offer's free buses (just use your student I.D), free wi-fi around the campus, and reasonable food...

Palmy is a quiet town with most amenities offered in other metropolitan cities so if thats what your after, then you'll like it there

Yeah it is peaceful and the surroundings of Massey allow nice walks when study gets overwhelming..Oh and the "Massey track" at the back of the Turitea (main) campus is great for those motivated runners, joggers (or walkers) to tackle if you wish

thanx a lot for the replies guys.

helped a lot. :)

Which internet service provider do u guys recommend for the fastest speed?

Also, r incoming calls free for mobile phone networks?

Regards to the internet, you could try studentcity.co.nz they have different plans depending on how much you use i.e. 1, 15, 20, 50GB. NOTE: they only provide to Massey, UCOL and hostel partners therefore if you're looking for somewhere to stay may I suggest the Hub or Baxters? I stayed at both and they're close to supermarkets, plaza, etc...

As long as incoming calls aren't "collect" then no you're not charged.

Palmy is a hole. Lived there for over 3 years, never again.

Night life is good? Wow...thats a massive overstatement.

Too right
