bench press form

I know that powerlifters arch their back when benching, about how about general people/bbers? until today I have always believed you do it with your back flat against the bench and elbows end up going to the site, but I saw this video

so I need to bring my elbows down a bit? the more little things that I find I have been doing wrong the more I want to book some sessions with a pro like Tony and ask him for tips/routine workout

so in short...what form do you guys normally do when benching? me personally I am in the wrong I guess (I do however make a point of bringing the barbell down and get it to make contact with my nipples...is that still too far up?)

f*ck I am pretty damn confused right now!

Hey bro, good question. Now I'm no expert all, still a beginner. Tucking the elbows def makes a difference and much better for shoulder health too. Also got taught to think like "you're ripping the bar apart" and squeezing it hard.

Focus on squeezing the chest too, I used to just bounce the bar off my chest and wondered why my pecs never grew. Just my 2cents mate
