Depends what your budget is, I'd go for free used industrial conveyer belts as matting.

As for mirrors we have one about the size of a playing card on the towel dispenser......seriously thats all. Unnecessary IMHO.

Funny enough I noticed just the other week in Parra rubber or payless plastics (one of them, can't remember which as I was just hunting for kids lunch boxes) has rolls of rubber matting for sale. Dunno if its anygood for your uses?

If big mirrors are too pricey, you could go with a sheet or sheets of polished stainless steel. Get a price from a sheet metal shop. Go for that industrial look lol.
