That's about where you'd be aiming for as well wouldn't it be Steak? Your suited squat isn't far off 6 plates at the mo?

230kg raw(in comp) was my last squat a few months back...Dona bit more in gym but probably high :lol:

suited should be 6+ aside

Guys & gals setting targets to hit PRs on Squats has got to be a good thing yeah? :nod:

Are you spending too much time rolling around on the floor with hairy sweaty men instead of in the squat rack? (MMA everyone before you get the wrong idea!).

Well, I think goals are a great thing... but to be honest, the gains on a raw squat once one gets to a decent level (220ish for lighter guys, 250+ for heavier), seem to come slowly. The biggest yearly gain I saw in my squat after I hit 230, was about 25-30kg, which also coincided with significant technique changes. It took me nearly 4 years to get from 260 to an estimated raw max of 320.

Once you get to a certain level, you got to fight for every kilo. That's all I got to add. Want 30-40kg improvements? You're either a newbie, or going to be working your tail off and making smart technique changes.

Hmmmm this is a good idea! I think I need to get strongerer first though...

It's doable Vee!! Still got another 5 or so months :twisted:

That's only +14kg a month I need to add to my squat :shock:
