Recommended Fat Burners?

Hey guys,

Just wondering it there are any long term effects for taking fat burners?

Wanting to possibly trial these and see if there is any difference in B.F % as I am trying to get as cut as possible for summer.

Is it possible to cut down the B.F with these but also retain muscle? I will ask my P.T on Monday if he recommends me using any of these.

I am 16, so will they effect my growth?

Can any one recommend some good fat burners for me (on tablet form) which are not very expensive.

Thanks :)

Thanks for that, learnt a few things I didn't already know.

Should I be taking any supplements etc at all? I currently just have whey protein.

At 16 I wouldn't worry too much with all sorts of supplements. You'll get great results with proper training and a good nutrition plan.

Eat right and train hard consistently and you'll do well. IMO stick with the protein and don't worry about the rest for a while. Save your money.

Substances that may help fat loss, providing your diet is on track:

Carnitine (which you can get from meats, specifically red meats)

OmegaOils and EFA's (which you can get from meat especially fish and nuts)

Vitamin and Minerals (which you can get from lots of greens and B vits from meat)

and just to keep your body's metabolism up, get some thermogenics! (which are mainly made up of herbs and spices. cayenne pepper, green tea, calcium cinnamon, ginger, vegtable extracts and caffiene)

See where I'm going with this >:3

Just make sure you get all the nutrients your body needs to perform and function, the cleaner you eat the better. If you feel you want to try a 'fat burner" try carnitine (non-stimulant) first and then see how caffeine goes for you, keeping in mind you want to keep the sugar and calories down with your caffeine source, no Mother's or Demon's.

good luck

Cheers for that, 17 in a few months, so by the time I am 18 I will hopefully be going pretty well.

My diet is pretty clean generally and I rarely have caffeine.

I know of a few guys my age who are using creatine and some fat burners etc with great results, but I guess they don't think about growth issues.

Have purchased some Horleys Ripped Factors PyrgoneX so will see how these go. 8)

Some of the ones I saw had a lot more caffeine which probably isn't to good, and some which I read can mess up hormone levels and have certain manhood side effects.

No need for any supps, just eat clean and regular, not to sure which Fat loss products will mess up manhood, but if I were you I would read up on eating, not trying to dis you but just something I would have done if I had the chance to be 16 again.........hell there's a few things I would have done differently :pfft:

Yeah mate, I fully get what you mean. Would it be wise for me to calculate how much cals/fat/carbs/protein I eat each day on average as I have never really done that before. I do eat pretty clean and try to have 5-6 small meals each day, drink lots of water and avoid junk-foods etc. Cheers for the advice, currently enjoying my latest pack off NutraTech Whey from you guys.

And given that this guy sells supps, I'd say that was pretty compelling advice. How many people would tell you that you don't need to buy what they're selling?

Yeah exactly, I just find it conflicting though, like the link above on BodyBuilding.com doesn't recommend eating less carbs etc. But I guess at the end of the day it's about finding what is right for my own body?

Glad you are enjoying the whey, I would say 99% of the time people cut down on carbs when the goal is to loose bodyfat and ensure protein is up to maintain muscle. It also depends where you are at. If you eat messy, then you will start seeing results by just cleaning up, if you are eating clean, you can go further by cutting down on certain macros to drop your total caloric intake
