Interesting, anyone actually used this. I just had a play, and the price doesn't look too bad...$10.53/lb for cookies'n'cream flavoured 80% WPC/10% crea mono/10%BCAA mix. The kicker came when the shipping was factored in...only one option available USPS priority) which bumped it to $56. Pity, cos it looks like a great idea.

No, sorry should have been more clear...those proces were in $NZ. But still, $56 for a pound is a little rich for my blood, especially compared to the $30ish I pay for a kilo of natural whey at nzbodybuilding.

Yeah you pay to make what you want though.

I ordered pre-made supps from TrueProtein recently, and had them delivered no problem.

They also have a discount code system in play which gives 5% off before shipping.

At this stage I think id only be ordering special creatine/bcaa supps. Whey seems pretty cheap straight from nz

I buy WPC in bulk from here in NZ. I'd love to give TrueProtein's formulas a go as I've read the quality and flavours are second to none. But as the weight increases, so does the shipping cost, and to try increase the economy of scale I believe you start flirting with customs duties etc.

I only ordered a few smaller supps that I'd heard good things about, and wanted to give them a crack. Otherwise it's the basics for me, all sourced in NZ.

Supplements can be good value when making a purchase from overseas. You can also generally get more powerful products online, and have a lot more variety. However, due to the weight and size of protein powders, it is often not good value, because of the shipping costs.
