Has any suffered any hair loss whilst on novedex?

im 24 and my parents said to me my hair is receding.

We do not have any family history of balding, and it only started around the same time i started taking it.

anyone else have have this issue? if so is it reversible?

not sure if this is of any relavance, but i started to get some hair loss a months back, went to hair clinic and the specialist said that in my case, the hair loss was due to increase in testosterone levels. i'm no expert,so maybe someone may like to expand on this

DHT would still only make you bald if you are prone to balding... (as far as i know) so irrespective of your family not being bald... i think you got the throwback genes. Are you on any other medications mate? i.e. anti depressants or anything? they also can cause balding.

I being a Pakeha Maori have started to get real thin hair on the side of my head (maori thing, made worse by being english), it isnt receding or anything, just thinning alot. SO i keep it shaved like Steve Price.

DHT increases with testosterone use anyway. Your goign bald man!! EMBRACE THAT SHI*, accept your fate or be destroyed by it

I am currently using this. The package tells you "may cause hair loss" so...

sometimes I think the packets say things like may cause hair loss or be careful if you are in a tested environment so you think they are better than they actually are.....however out of the legal test boosters Ive used I found novadex xt to be the best!!!Im also a baldy by choice as AO said chicks prefer less hair :pfft:

Yes if you have a genetic predisposition for hair loss, increased test levels will accelerate your hair loss. As you get older the body produces more of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme.

The problem with 5-alpha-reductase is that it converts Test into DHT (dihydrotestosterone) . DHT attatches to various receptors thoughout the body (particularly the skin and scalp and prostate) when it attatches to the scalp it irritates the hair follicles and causes them to lose your hair. So drugs like propecia and proscar are alpha reductase inhibitors, meaning they help to stop your body producing 5-alpha reductase.

So anything you take or do that increases your test levels can accelerate your hair loss if you are prone to it. A doctor explained to me even the act of spiking your insulin i.e- consuming high G.I carbs (sugar ect) causes the body to spike your test levels and therefore potentialy convert some of that Test to DHT. The older you get the more it converts to DHT (sometimes it will convert it to estrogen or DHEA but thats a whole other issue).
