Right, that's it, I'm off to live in my cave, far away from everyone and everything, where I will live on nothing but water. By the time that runs out, I'll have flushed all the toxins out of my body, and be able to recycle my own urine, thus proving the theory of perpetual motion, whilst simultaneously living a wholly pure existence, completely removed from any impurities that could cause cancer, AIDS, fatness, skinnyness, baldness, hairyness, atrophy, hypertrophy, anabolism, catabolism, or canabalism.

Ronin, signing off....

I appreciate a bit of humor, despite how i might come across on this forum I'm quite relaxed and friendly and wouldn't hesitate taking some time out chatting to any of you. I do take certain aspects of health and wellbeing seriously that i will not compromise on. Yes we can not live in a little bubble fully protected from toxins, environmental pollution, additives etc... but improving ones quality of life surely is ones aim both from a physical, nutritional, emotional standpoint.... IMO what we eat determines how we feel and how we act..... I'm deeply passionate about particular issues but also am not stubborn enough not to listen to others viewpoint"s, perhaps i have come to the wrong forum....thus ends my contribution here at nzbodybuilding.....apologies to anyone that I may have offended through my posts.... Finally i will add that people should look a little deeper into such issues presented here....do your own research.....and come to your own conclusions.

Cheers

either way i know personally id much rather natural sugar than something that has such a questionable history

Natural sugar or refined sugar?

both are better alternatives given the choice, one more so than the other

I thought you were confusing the two ;) Refined sugar is far from natural. I would much rather consume aspartame than refined sugar. Considering one has proven ill-effects and the other is probably the most researched compound in the world and has nothing to speak of.

the fact that aspartame caused brain cancer in the tested lab animals or that its subsequent approval by the FDA in 1981 was the most heavily contested in history, is not "nothing to speak of" .

Elite,

You & I will probably never agree on much, however others here probably enjoy & benefit from what I see as an 'alternative' point of view.

If you are truly passionate about such topics don't allow a few piss take comments scare you away.

If nothing else us scientists enjoy that fact that your challenges to convention allow us the opportunity to review our stance on these topics.

Hopefully see you posting again soon.

I Probably overreacted on my part.... all good, still happy to squabble with you scientists :D, on another note I have a client with neurological issues that has been using aspartame for 1 year now... I have a very strong suspicion this has been brought on by the use of this Sweetener....I have got her off this stuff...... will be interesting to see what the effects are...perhaps i will post my findings.
