bro i don't know shit about roundbacking ect but isn't that terribly bad for you pulling like that?

deadlift-hip-position1.jpg

half and half id say bro

Yes for the General gym goers, No for me :D

i pull this way because i get better speed of the floor. i also suffer from slight kyphosis in my upper back (bad posture in my younger days) but its very minimal now.

But that doesnt mean to say my technique is sloppy either, my lower back/core is tight and arched i have gangsta strong Erectors, shoulders are locked behind the bar, everyone keeps telling me how to deadlift, pull 280 of the deck no hitch lock it out and ill listen  :pfft: , at the end of the day bro you gotta play to the leverages your given

Yup. Completely eliminates leg drive and is a big reason why people have fucked backs. Many people still do it without issues. But I've seen a whole lot more people get injured from it.

im not trolling you either bro i was just always told to keep the back tight to avoid injury, i guess once your seasoned its all g.

i have long levers and i think i pulled like you i could pull a shit load more so i may give it a try. wouldnt be wise to jump straight into roundbacking my max tho?

all good bro 8)

I think Pman may agree with me on this as he pulls in a similar fashion.

At the end of the day if you've been taught perfect form or not, the body is gonna want to pull that weight of the floor it finds most naturally, when the heavier loads get introduced. Be it from a higher hip posistion round back etc etc

if anything stick to what works for you bro, im not trying to advocate that round backing would work for you or not..I just try and keep an opened mind on the different styles

Up to VP as he is the creator... but personally, not sure we want to slip too far from "actual" comps? 3 referees, 3 (possible) white lights?

As long as it meets that (simple) criteria, I think that's fine IMHO...

On track for my 270 hopefully, it's my target for the BBro.
