In house Deadlift Comp

Alright put me down, VP. Current best is 300. Tell me what I have to do

Also, I think you should reconsider that it has to be done in a comp, as some people in this thread already would have no intention of doing one and it probably deters others from joining. Surely video evidence with the majority saying it's a good lift is enough? (not an issue for me, will do end of year comp next year). Just a suggestion.

Hi mate - Mike Zero there was only one rule mate, I think it would be unfair to change the rules as we go so it stands as it is which I think is fair it was intended at the beginning for us Rookie Novices in IPF and then alot off people thought it would be fun to have a go which is cool,

I did state clear on the cover page what it was all about, and if they don't complete that's fine its up to them at the end of the day as its only and incentive to train a bit harder and for bragging rights which goes a long way :pfft: :pfft: , but they can't honestly claim the bragging rights as the rules were not followed if they do not enter sound fair? if there training improves though out 2011 cause of this that's great and good on them for the effort they put in - why wouldn't ya turn up to a novice comp claim the gory after all that work 8) .

I will post the Novice event calendar for 2011 when its available so there is no excuses for not knowing when and where they are.

8) Now big guy how does 340kg sound in 15 months MZ let me now mate.

Nate: Sweet as I think that is a good ask from the Big Man I'll put him in for 380kg  (Bye Bye NZ Title)

Yeah fair enough mate.

340 sounds good for end of next year. Got sights set on 320 in the near future then hopefully push on to 8 wheels after that

You have a bright future in the furniture moving business.

Apparently it's all about functional training. If anyone ever needs someone to lift a bar off the floor for a few seconds and put it back down in more or less the same place...

A quick question :

What would very one's thoughts be if I was to put a table up and divide it up evenly though out the rest of this year and next year into 4 or 5 parts for every ones updates on how the deadlift is going with time frames left etc etc?

Hey VP - good idea... I know I got some value from the Sheiko template which gave me some "forced progress"...

Ok everyone, I'll work on something simple as and post it on the first page, progress report I guess for yourself and very one too see how well things are going or on the other hand could be a wake up call message too..... keeps everyone interested over a long period of time 8)

as stated before progress vid's would be awesome now and again too cool to watch and a powerful tool for training.

pulled 180 pre-keto, but failed it twice after keto, only got 170. so 220 would be 50k's up. though i pb'd today, video coming soon....
