hi, stuck at home for the next what was meant to be 3 months but now prob gonna be 9 months so want to get a bit of a set up for garage at home. what i want is a cage to do squats in but a bench in front of it for bench press. so i will just be doing stuff with an olympic bar and plates.

i have had a look at getstrength.co.nz am yet to go in there but something like this is what i was thinking http://www.getstrength.com/GS-Home-Gym/ ... e.tpl.html

i really dont know alot about equipment, just how to use it. so any suggestions/help would be much appreciated.

i am in auckland, so if anyone also knows of any gyms getting rid of old gear, can let me know cheers.

Your understanding of worthless might change if you read your own posts. Thick as a brick.

The mods are discussing Tom's situation now. In the meantime, guys, stop baiting each other. :naughty:

I'm on the fence about you.

You seem like you might be the "big brother" type that's always trying to control every move and have things his way.

Maybe Chaos needs to realise theres an awfull lot of work done in the back ground to keep this site troll/idiot free and the majority of that is done by Pseudonym. If he doesn't like it theres plenty of other forums to chat on.

Back to the squat rack/power cage topic :)

haha...not quite Bar-belle is pretty hardkor bro

I have a couple of these racks. they are handy but I also have 2 powercages (another 1 coming too) and an adjustable squat/bench rack I had built to replicate the comp racks we use. This one is surplus to requirements so to speak and is getting moved closer to the door  Good thing about these is that they are multi use so you can bench, incline bench, O/head press and squat out of them. They have adjustable catch bars too so you can rack pull etc and not get pinned under a heavy bench etc.
