HARBOUR HARDCORE OFFICIAL OPENING

Saturday 7th August at 10.30am

To celebrate the opening of NZ’s elite performance gym, Harbour Hardcore, we're holding a Strongman Demonstration and Bench Press Competition. Come and find out who is the strongest at Harbour Fitness. Bring down your friends and family and enjoy a free BBQ.

If you think your Bench Press is pretty good, prove it by registering at 10.30am on Saturday morning and be in to win one of 3 Six Month Memberships.

(The 3 Categories are: Best Bench Press for Competitors weighing over 100kgs, Best Bench Press for Competitors weighing less than 100kgs and the Ultimate Winner is the Competitor with the best weight to lift ratio).

Look forward to seeing you at our Harbour Hardcore Opening on Saturday 07th August at 10.30am.

Sorry but I don't think it's appropriate for a staff member let alone the manager of the gyms to take part in the comp.

He did that last time when they took over Birkenhead..pretty lame... if you so don't want to give away the free membership that you have to win the comp yourself don't put it up for grabs..IMHO

reasonably confident that Steve didn't crack the 100kg bodyweight to beat the big big boys.

Harbour Fitness routinely give away membership prizes (as per our 12 week challenge where in PT services and nutrition consultations were provided), in one instance, Steve trained up for a competition that he won.

Nothng to do with not giving away a $10 per week prize, more just enjoying the thrill of competition. In the end, he still had to lift more than everyone else and had no guarantee that would happen, not exactly rigging a prize draw.

  • 2 weeks later...

A fun day was held by all. A new NZ record was achieved by Junior Toohofe (spelling) in the 1 hand inch dumbell lift with i think 83 kg. the inch DB is 60 mm in diameter and can only be lifted with one hand in deadlift style. for teh record, the athlete needs to be able to lift it with each hand on its own
