morning everbody, well it's been a very long time since I put anything no here, and am thoroughly impressed the account hasn't been closed down. I am after a critique on diet, I am aiming for a comp next eyar (once I see how i shape up) and am starting to drop the fat slowly now. last time i competed i dropped far too quickly and looked tiny on stage.

stats

Currently 98kg.

estimated bf 15-20%

height 178cm

training

weights 3 day split

cardio = 20 min on weights day and 40min on rest days.

Diet

1) 1/2 cup porridge

serve protein /protein powder

serve fruit

2) serve protein (200-250gm)chick/beef/tuna/protein powder

1cup vege

1cup carb

3) serve protein (200-250gm)chick/beef/tuna/protein powder

1cup vege

1cup carb

4)serve protein (200-250gm)chick/beef/tuna/protein powder

1 serve fruit

5)serve protein (200-250gm)chick/beef/tuna/protein powder

1cup vege

6)serve protein (200-250gm)chick/beef/tuna/protein powder

estimated calorie intake is around 3k. weight lose is steady currently, however I seem to be running a very fine line, as the slightest slip results in a gain.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I'm by no means an expert, but I noticed you have 2 servings of fruit, maybe try cutting that down to just the one serving and keep it post workout? That could be enough to put you on the right side of that fine line  If you wanted to drop a tiny bit faster you could probably drop a cup of veges too as you seem to have a lot of them, but if you're making steady progress already and have plenty of time to drop the weight in you may not need to. I'm sure some others much more knowledgeable will chime in with some better advice :)

Hey andrew yea it's been ages. Been playing around in the uk for the last few. But back into it now. Was looking at the carbs being dropped but was reluctant as I lost a fair bit of mass last time I dropped them. That and energy

Reserves were next to nothing during work outs last time I did that .

As you said, you are on a very fine line.

Would drop fruit, get a multi to fill in any loses in vitamins and nutrients.

So the best think is to drop calories slightly.

Dropping cup veggies wont do much of anything except decrease useful nutrients.

That leaves protein and/or carbs..... End of the day its up to you
