Canned chicken breast

anyone tried the new Watties canned chicken breast? comes in spring water, smoked and light mayo versions. about 36gms of protein per can and $2.30 each (on sale at countdown). Tastes alright but just a bit worried about any nasties (processed stuff) that could be in there - esp when eating about 10-12 cans per week.

I chuck it in my scrambled eggs or on top of rice and mixed veges. Not too fussed which brand I use - chop chop, watties, cinderella. Convenient and pretty cheap - not too concerned about sodium content...

Really only after the protein and usually just buy whatever is the cheapest at paknsav when I need more :) usually one brand is on sale during the week.

ok - chop chop smoked flavour - chunks is 21grams per 100grams

cinderella smoked flavour - chunks is 26.1grams per 100grams

watties lite mayo - chunks 22.8grams per 100grams

All cans are 160grams total weight.

These are the only flavours in my work desk right now... :)

It's no good man. Too much soy and preservatives. Not good value protein. Plus Thailand is a shit hole you don't wanna eat canned meat from there which it most likley is.

bit in bold especially

think what kind of chicken they use for cans lol
