Curls = Wrist pain?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys about a month back i was doing some heavy (by my standards) preacher curls. My left wrist started aching but i powered thru it. Now any training that requires more stress on wrist than other excersizes brings all this pain back and it lasts for days!! If i train arms i have to allow at least 3 days before i can do any other training. Ive changed my split to:

Chest shoulder

legs

off

back traps

arms

That way i have a few days for my wrist to recover. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? what helped? how long did it last? Should i just strop training biceps (the main cause of pain)???

Here is a pic of where the pain is (down the outside of the left wrist)

I got CTS to a degree and find that using cables reduces wrist pain when doing curls. I cant use a straight bar free weights ont the guns and didnt even do any curls for ages cos they seem to trigger wrist and elbow injury, but find cables seem easier on the joints, also dumbells seem ok. mayb u could try that as a bar for me is realy shit.
