Hi all, just wondering how long do you guys take to cook your meals everyday?

This is more for people who eat minimum of 500gms (0.5kg) everyday.

Personally i cook 1kg of chicken everyday and takes me about 1hr to cook my food, including rice and preparation. :D:D

I believe that if you want to reach your goals its all about preparation. :lol::lol:

Also i know lots of people on here, prob have some brilliant ideas to make things life simpler and faster at preparing the food, which is always hard after work and try to juggle everything else in life.

So please do share your brilliant ideas so it can help others. (i mean me :) )

Also some recipes which are easy as would be great as well.

:lol::lol:

Doesn't take me long, but most of my food's raw (well, the fruit and vegies are anyway :) )

A. Cook in batches - takes as long to cook double quantities of rice

B. Learn to love your George Foreman Grill, or my favorite, the Breville HealthSmart TG-870 - does steak in 4 min, chicken breasts in eight, kumara slices in 10 min. Use baking paper to line and clean-up's a breeze. Store the cooked food in airtight containers, you can easily knock up two or three day's worth in an hour.

Then, maybe 15-20m of prep (mostly vegie slicing) in the morning, job done!.

As the saying goes "fail to plan and you plan to fail", meal preparation is vital its often to easy to be lazy, no excuses when good foods are ready and available without much fuss and time involved.

I'll pick a day on the weekend and cut up most of veggies and put then into Tupperware, and cook up a batch of chicken breasts, along with DR Johns Chili recipe from precision Nutrition and freeze both meals ready for during the week.

Pretty simple layout, I'll vary my meat choices a bit but this meal preparation strategy has been beneficial.
