Were definately fighting above our weight, Noah Hickey said that all the Italians are on over 100k per week! Only Ryan Nelson even approaches that, Barron works at a bank and Elliot is off contract. Smith plays for Ipswich Reserves and Vichelich is now a Auckland FC Club player! All their guys are Serie A professionals!

Hopefully guys like Smeltz and Paston etc get a european contract out of it.

I just about shit myself when I heard the score the on rock that the All Whites draw against Italy and I saw some of the highlights on breakfast.I thought what a wicked result for football in this country.I would not be all that surprised if some the All whites guys like Smeltz,Paston etc get contracts from any of the big clubs in europe or england.

Bloody amazing result, shame about the Hollywood penalty but in all fairness Smeltz was offside for our goal so it kinda evens out.

That was one thing I did notice during the game, the number of times one of the dagos burst into tears and expected a penalty for getting an owie on their boo-boo.

I know soccer isn't a contact sport in the way that rugby is, but you get 4 legs in close proximity to the ball, and from time to time people are gonna go down. But the Eye-tallions cry foul and hollywood it up every fricken time, whilst the Kiwis just rolled to their feet and got back into the game. That made me almost as proud as the score.
