Gyms across NZ that do a day-pass?

Hey guys how you all doing? I'll get right to it!

Bascially I live in Britain but am going travelling all over NZ for a month. Needless to say this poses a big problem with regard to working out properly. I'm confident I can keep my diet up to scratch over the 30 days but I'm looking to get a few sessions with freeweights in over the weeks. Plan is to do all the high-rep bodyweight/cardio stuff regularly (and for free!) and occasionally do a heavy, intense freeweight session at a gym.

So after all that my question is please can you guys give me some names of gyms in your own area that would do a cheap(ish) day pass? I'm travelling all over so chances are I'll be through your neck of the woods at some point! Perhaps a warehouse type of gym would be the cheapest?

Just some names would be great so I can check them out, even better if your own gym does it!

In Christchurch the QE2 gym does a $10 visitor's pass.

just go to a new gym everytime and say that you want to test it out for a day for free...most gyms will let you. Community gyms in Manukau may give you a free week pass to test it out before joining. Dunno how it is in other areas though. Havent been to a gym yet that doesnt let you have a free first workout, but then again ive only been to gyms in the auckland area.

Wolfs gym (as in the British Gladiator Wolf) in Henderson has a $10.00 casual fee.

Most gyms will do casual passes for between $10.00-$20.00 though .. good luck and safe and happy travels!

I can only speak for Wellington but at least there City Fitness will do day passes, and they've branches across NZ. Also in Wellington Exodus does day passes, but they're not cheap at $NZ 25. They do have ritzy facilities tho.

Depending on where you're staying, you might find some hotels give you a pass to the local gym.

I had the idea of asking for a "test day" at every new gym I come across but as I won't have a local address they might think it a bit suspect. Definitely worth a go though!

As for Christchurch all the coucil gyms ie Centennial, Pioneer, Jelly Park and QE2 all do it for $10.
