Hi, welcome. Lots of good stuff floating round here. Ive had some good tips 4sure:)

About question 3)

Personly I like to set goals. Small goals and completly ridiculous goals.

If u set goals that you think u can acheive in a few weeks, it keeps u motivated and pushing hard. Also If you have dreams/ideas n goals that seem very far fetched, some consitancy and hardwork will get u them.

I acheived a goal 2day that i 'set' like a year or so ago. It was by far a dream back then, and infact I said it to a person kind of lightly, not even realy believing it could be done lol. BUt now that dreams true. If u get my drift.

also how tall are you? :)

Peace & Welcome

Hi Shaf23

1) Your ideal bodyweight is whatever you want it to be (within reason) and the only thing standing in the way of you reaching it is your ability work hard. My ideal bodyweight is as big as possible :pfft:

2) sorry mate you cant do both at the same time, you have to do one then the other (most bodybuilders have a bulking phase followed by a cutting phase for this reason - put on size then get rid of the bf and keep the muscle is the basic idea.

3) Your time frame is based on your goal. As monarchking said set a longterm goal and a few short term goals to keep you focused and motivated.

Good Luck

You say that you would like to decrease your body fat and build muscle. Is this for a specific reason or just for asthetic purposes?

It might be an idea to post up your current training for the forum to critique, also what type of training are you doing at the moment and how realistic is it for you to apply yourself to a training routine?.

There are loads of people on this forum that have the knowledge and experience to help you out so good luck with this.

Hey guys,

thanks for the feedback, iv lernt some great things already and i have to agree with all that it is a goal and it may take time to reach it :)

i am 167cm tall ( a shorty lol ) . . i just want to look good so really want to bulk up and put on muscle.

at the moment im trying to get to the gym 4 times a week. i alternate each day, for each exercise i complete 4 sets and after each set i increase the weight but complete less reps for each set

day 1 - bench press, barbel bent over row, military press, wide cable pulldowns . bicep curls

Day 2 - all lower body workout, leg press etc

I have been told to eat, eat , eat and then strip down once i get to about 80kg. should i be eating everything and anything in this phase? or do i still need to be eating healthy?

thanks
