Hey all just new to this forum have only recently started working out in January this year and recently was given a little redbull energy shot from trainer. It worked wounders for some reason started to bench harder and curl heavier with more weights. At the moment all i have is post workout shake which is "Balance muscle technology whey protein" ive been reading up on these preworkout drinks though and ive come to two final choices my choices are either "N.O. Xplode or Superpump 250" any feedback would be awsome and even any other suggestions of mayby better preworkout drinks would be awsome. Im looking for a drink thatl make my workouts go longer, lift heavier and reps. cheers

LMAO - at 16 you should have all the energy in the world to train your ass off!

Personally I'd concentrate on your overall nutrition rather than worry about stimulants pre-workout. These are the sorts of things you add when you need to get that little bit more from your training, and to be fair you are very new to training (no offense intended).

In response to the red bull the caffiene in this would've been the reason you "bench harder and curl heavier".

Good game plan for someone your age would be:

1) Lock down a solid training programme

2) Lock down a good diet

3) Progressively add supplements to achieve your goals where needed

4) Constantly review

The good folk here at NZBB will help if you give details of your training & diet.

All the best

Nate

Heya mate no offence taken at all taking this all on board i will hopefully get me a solid diet set atm im just trying to stock on protein and carbs im still skiny so still have heaps of room for bulk, although i must say that as a 16 year old i "should" be buzzing with tons of energy! but at the moment i have just started my building appreticeship which can consist of up to 12hr full on labour days so like to have alot of energy when im working out.

To gymsta i was thinking about milk would that work much better at the moment im just stocking up on the milk and protein and bananas etc. cheers
