I'm looking forward to it, and already have my tickets (grrr Ticketek and your evil commission!).

I don't personally know many people competing - but TFB tells me there's a bunch from our gym (Thorndon CF) competing, and I'm excited already that I have 3 other people (including the forum's own Peter Dolan) to yell out for, so it's going to be a fun day with a hoarse throat at the end of it from all the supporting!

Good luck everyone

Bit slow to get photos up as I was on the door all day but somehow managed to combine a few chores with catching up with everyone and taking the odd photo and video.

The 38 registered last night grew to well over 60 and with the couples and multi`s got up to over 80.

Supry won the overall.

Anyway heres a snip.

Nice work Gasp!

Congratulations to all the competitors, supporters and organizers that made today’s two shows such a success! The evening finals were a sell out, and the Victoria University theatre was a rowdy and exciting venue. The men’s overall was an amazing spectacle with 11 athletes crammed on the stage!

Here are some photos from the morning session.

Really enjoyed the show. Wow, what an amazing line up of guys for the overalls =P~ Tough competition, but as a Thorndon CF girl I was cheering for Supry!

Nury and Teneka were both amazing too. I always have to admit that I'm absolutely no expert before I make comments (just my opinion, and let's face it, they all look great  ), but it seemed to me that with both of them it was their butts and legs that gave them the edge over their competition which seems to be a problem area for us womenfolk (I for one went down to the gym between morning and evening shows and did a bunch of squats!). Completely my opinion (non expert) but Nury and Teneka's competition both had a couple of areas I thought they had the edge in - I thought Tina D has a fantastic back that gave her some points over Nury, and I was coveting Caroline's arms all day - wow, just amazing and I'm going to work hard to try and get arms like that!

Peter Dolan was in a tough class of 5 and had a well deserved 2nd placing in his first competition - he looked fantastic, congratulations
