I applaude Mastertel for informing the masses of where he stands, as to shows being run in NZ all groups need to stop the carry on and get on with there own shows.

To much time is spent in this site explaining this and that lets just get on with the year natural attrition will balance the cards laid on the table.

One question I would like to ask

Is there a reason Bodybuilding organisations are running events all over NZ on the same days? and why?

Seems pointless if everyone in here says we are here for the athletes would it not be prudent as show organisers to find appropriate dates that work for the athletes.

People on here, I believe, are interested in what is happening in New Zealand Bodybuilding. Many are competitors & officials. I personally think it is healthy for all the federations to have discussion & feedback, both positive & negative, from the members on NZBB.co.nz. After all if you post up an event & publicise it on this forum you expect to get posts before & after the event. Obviously, it is not appropriate to discuss executive decisions unless it has been made public knowledge but general discussion should be encouraged & some federations would be wise to be more aware with what is said on here & by their members.

NABBA/WFF NZ's event calendar was constructed in accordance with the Australian calendar & our international competitions. Every endeavour was made to avoid clashing with other federations dates & major sporting events but inevitably, with 4 federations now operating in NZ, this will happen.

Excellent. Its good to see a promoter taking care of his athletes. Thats what Federations have lost sight of amongst their little power & ego trips.

lmao that now includes you as a promoter

Whats funny is that you quoted KJ as saying it!! LMAO! Awesome - your a champion!

NABBA/WFF NZ's event calendar was constructed in accordance with the Australian calendar & our international competitions.

Ok so I had a look at the Oz calendar the only show the month of September is held at the end of the month how does this clash with NZ events?

Every endeavour was made to avoid clashing with other federations dates & major sporting events but inevitably, with 4 federations now operating in NZ, this will happen.

It is now up to the 4 groups to interact and adjust comps to fit into a logical cycle so that athletes can actually compete in more than one show.

Afterall there is only a finite number of competitors so without a degree of communication on the powers to be side, you guys are going to look stupid running events with 5 to 10 people at each show on the same day.

NZ Resident - good thinking. We're used to do this with NZFBB (and do it with INBA). But with the changes to the NZFBB structure over the last year it hasn't happened. However, we will endeavor to contact retrospective groups again when we set the calender in Dec. From memory, Kingsley didn't contact us re his proposed dates for WFF, but I'm sure if approached we can work in with him next year or vice versa.

Will make it easier on judges, audiences, sponsors and of course those athletes that like to do a variety of shows and/or federations.

Well if the cap fits wear it . Really though its bloody cheeky to ask a competitor to help advertise a federation that they no longer compete for dont you think ,It's not cheeky at all! Neralee is the reigning Overall NZFBB Wellington Figure champion, many people compete for more than one organisation, and I asked Neralee as a favour to her. Neralee had no problem with being asked, so why should you hawks ... not that it's any of your business anyway. And yes you dont have any say in how events are run in Auckland that is true but by helping run events for NZFBB you are supporting a president that shall we say is not running the federation as it should be . Wrong. As I said earlier I'm privately organising the event for the benefit of the competitors, spectators and sponsors who deserve to have a good show to compete in/watch/sponsor ... it has nothing at all to do with supporting the NZFBB President! You have reps that get booted , remarks where made on this forum by this person which i say i must agree with then bugger me they are back running shows again , the whole thing really looks like a joke. Isn't it better to have people like me and Mike running these events, rather than dumping them on less-experienced people (which would be a joke). I must say and i have said it before there are some fine people running shows in this country in both NABBA NZ and NZFBB its the people at the top of these federations that are ruining the sport for the athletes.AGREED!Imagine how good a federation we could have if people like yourself who are experianced in running shows and athletes who are not getting a fair shake came over to nabba wff and got behind a new federation in this country that is for the athletes . We could get back to the good old days of having over 100 competitors at showsThat would be nice, but only if we had one big organisation rather than several smaller ones .Unfortunately i think far to many people have there own personal agenders .Once again, hawks - I agree with you 100%

 you completely miss the point , once again wasting my breath .

BULLSHIT the points Terry pointed out is exactly what you were aiming at.

I am running shows for my athletes and all the other south island athletes that still have some sort of hope that things will get better.

If i didn't step back up to run a show which i have done well 3x in the past what do i do with my 9 clients? "take them to nabba/wff" you say if they want to thats great but as an IFBB pro i can not support or be involved with any other federation (international rule not a Moe rule) or i lose my pro status which i have spent my whole bodybuilding career trying to attain. i have been involved with bodybuilding for 18yrs competing for 17 or them so don't get all jumped up about what i do down here in ChCh. i have always been more than happy to share ideas/opinions with kingley/richie P Annette G or Rod down here so don't start judging me or terry for what we are trying to do.

You should just concentrate on doing the best you can with BBing and ill do the same and together South Island BB will be better for it.

Yes you have! SO WHAT??? AND how old are you? by many of your posts and comments it makes me wonder?

BBing is my life i eat, breath, sleep and shit it! I hate to see whats going on in bodybuilding both locally and internationally, in all federations. Infact i hate the politics altogether, i put my hands together for any federation or organization that promotes and runs good shows for the athletes and

Im always up for a good debate or discussion, but unless you have a repore with someone keep your stupid comments "Band aids and some Bepanthan(USED FOR NAPPY RASH) heal most things with time" to yourself or at least come back with some point of view that we can have an adult conversation about.

Ouch does Shitting bodybuilding hurt . Goodness me that sounds painfull. Can you take medication for that . Actually i am 45 very shortly and have been lifting for 25 years and like yourself love bodybuilding .Although i would not go so far as to say i shit bodybuilding . My point is you and Terry ran good shows and have been shit on by your federation yet you still support them by running shows for the federation .Directly or indirectly that is supporting moe that yourself and everyone else is moaning about . Myself been a person with some integrity if someone shit on me i would never support them .Hey if the IFBB or NABBA NZ for that matter were run by honest people and were really for the athlete i would support them but they are not . And as for adult conversation and stupid comments its called sarcasim and an adult would have ignored it .

I did get shit on yes. Not running a show would have been me shitting on 50 or 60 people that might not have had a show put on.

I support the IFBB and the athletes, which there are few that asked me to take the south islands back. the south island athletes that finally got paid travel expenses (that was 1 of a page of conditions to me running the show again) Trust me i took the show back under MY rules and MY conditions. And as for sarcasm i take that from people that i have built a relationship with and they generally are happy to take it back from me. But you position on myself and terry is based on very little information about both of us. And as i said im a private promotor for this show, so it is now a part of my wider Business, so dusting off some shit for a viable business opportunity as a promotor...... Thats my decision to make, and if its the wrong one ill pay for it out of my pocket, if its the right one, you can be assured the athletes will get some of that reward back.

You are so negative Hawks. I have also had my problems with federations but will be supporting Terry and also Nabba Wellington because you know what, I want to compete and they run bloody good shows.

You want us to boycott these federations because of some National bodies.

Well that leaves us with about 2 shows to compete in. Get off your high horse and leave the good guys alone. Most local competitors are happy with the shows so let them support them.

The local organisers put in a shit load of work and need congratulations for their work. They cannot just give it up and change federations especially if it means losing a Pro Card.

Remember the PM you sent me Max? In regards to you having issues with Pitt and Poole, for some reason you did not want this mentioned on the forums. People are moaning about Moe and the NZFBB and how it is being run by him. ALL the issues previously mentioned, but most people still continue to sit on the fence - like yourself! So, before you tell me to get off my high horse - do not forget the moaning that you have done in the past. The difference between you and I, is that I make a decision and stick to it. The trouble is and this is true, that most if not all people do not like upsetting the powers that be, as it may have an effect on themselves in the long run with their own personal agendas. Me, myself, I don't give a shit, and if people have issues with that - then thats their problem. People state in this forum, that they are here for the athletes, but are they really? By the way, Im not being negative, Im being truthful, which is more than what I can say for others.

I totally agree with you hawks I to have had to make a stand on whats been going on and to this day I have supported the federation that works for the competitors and have encouraged others to follow towards NABBA-WFF NZ. I have been with the competitors at the CHC comp and with the NZ team that went over to Melbourne and saw they way they were look after by AUS NABBA-WFF.

I have had big problems but I am looking after myself. The contests are set. You are not going to cancel them. I am booked to do Nabba/WFF nationals so am supporting them but it is only cutting my own throat not competing in Wellington Nabba or NZFBB. I don't care about Moe or Nabba it doesn't affect me or most people at local level, The fact is not everyone is suddenly going to convert to Nabba/WFF this year. It may happen in the future but if organisers don't organise shows for Nabba or NZFBB there is only 2 South Island shows to do.

In 2008 I competed for Nabba/WFF, Nabba MZ and NZFBB because I wanted to compete and didn't give a shit about Politics.

Nabba NZ and NZFBB are not suddenly going to fold. I am supporting Maeve and her Nabba show and Terry and his Wellington shows. I am not supporting the national events.

I understand your principles but it is unrealistic for all competitors to boycott Nabba and NZFBB. I still haven't heard about the NAC World's last week. I suspect noone went.

Nabba/WFF are doing an amazing job but this year will not have enough shows to outdo the other federations.

I haven't changed my stance on Nabba NZ but if I am getting in shape for 2nd October Nabba?WFF I might as well do a few other shows.

My experience with Terry and Maeve is they run great shows so lets support them not the federation they belong to.

This is what we have been advocating all along Max. That competitors should be able to compete in any federation they want to. We are well aware of our limitations constrained with in the South Island. 2011 will definitely see at least one NABBA/WFF show in the North Island probably in Auckland. It is our intention to only run a max of 4 shows per year in NZ. Most of these, if not all, will be International Qualifiers. There is no plan to saturate the local scene as we feel that there are far too many small regional shows being run which does nothing for encouraging well organised & successful shows with quality competitors. Looking forward to seeing you down for the Nationals. You are going to have some very good competition. :D

This is the attitude we all appreciate from Nabba/Wff. Does a federation frown on their competitors competing in other federations or accept that they just want to compete. Despite some dodgy dealings from power crazy people at the top they still want to compete.

An example is Wellington where we have NZFBB on 28th August and 18th September. Nabba is on 11th September. Here is an opportunity to do 3 shows in 4 weeks in one area. Both these federations have had problems at a higher level but I am sure they will be run well.

It is great to see Nabba/WFF keeping their focus on helping the competitors and it has been formed because there was a need as the other feds had taken their eye off the ball.

There are still a lot of good people out there organising shows who want to run a competitor friendly show and if hey don't I am sure we will hear about it here.

I'm sure the competition will be tough at ChCh Nabba/WFF ,am not the youngster I once was.
