$23.50 for City Fitness does seem incredibly steep. I'm in Wellington, and my husband joined City Fitness about a year and a half ago and his was only a one year contract, so relatively expensive by CF standards at about $18 a week. CF normally starts at around $15 in Wellington for the longest no frills contract, so I'm interested in what you're getting for $23.50 - that's even more expensive than Les Mills here!

Just a thought - are you at one of the City Fitness branches that only recently became a City Fitness? Perhaps you're still paying old pre-takeover gym rates rather than CF rates (which for some at my gym were higher, so apparently they were breaking their contracts and resigning at the cheaper CF rates).

Ive been there since 2002. Are you on a pro fitness plan? I was under the impression that city fitness rates were less than Pro fitness, Might be worth quitting and re joining? or just talking with the plan people?

The cityfitness in Nelson is also rediculously expensive unless you signed up with them when they first started. Even then it's still way over-priced.

I know a totally different market so an unfair comparison. I pay $10 per month Just fitness 4 U and $20 per month at American Bodyworks (24/7 access)
