OT - but Rose I actually appreciated some of that advice (even though not intended for me) .. ive been craving nuts like never before lately, so I should look into some form of magnesium supplement, after all its not going to do me any harm. :)

Hi all!! :P

I didnt mean for this to get this far and i have been told to stay off this site, but its very interesting to c what everyones opinions are and i shall take what i want from all of that. Thank you everyone for all your great advice and im sure it works for yourself, but yeah my PT knows and sees me everynight so i think he should be the one to listen to atm. If all fails then yes time to move on!!!

Im too close to ruin myself for what i have worked soooo hard for..fuk all carbs for months to get dwn to where i am now. I think im just overly paranoid as the mirrors are starting to play tricks sometimes and my head is abit airy as ive never competed before and is all new for me. Well its all a learning curb....ill keep ya posted how i go...aiming def for the gold!!!!!!!!

Good call Margot!

Interesting that a lot of advice stating otherwise came from those who have never been on stage! :pfft: Seriously, unless you've been there its pretty hard to comprehend what a mind f*ck it is in the last few weeks. Even experienced competitors still comment on this & I guess this is where an experienced coach/PT is worth a million bucks. Paid to think for you when you cant!

That's a bit harsh :(

Surely you're grown up enough to make your own decisions about things like that

Ooops I missed that bit!

Maybe your PT is concerned you'll start taking some of the wildcard advice rather than listening to him/her?!!!!

Read away Margot, but save all the great ideas you get until after your comp!

You're not even kidding about this. A few years ago when I was training female BBers and figure girls, the final-week crazies were the worst part of it. They'd even have me second-guessing myself.

Ever since then I've always said that contest-prep coaching is more about being a good psychiatrist than anything else.

To echo everybody else, just listen to your PT this go-round. It's hard enough trying to deal with crazy clients without them constantly second guessing you. If you don't like the results, move on later, but let the man do his job for now.
