NZs youngest ever bikini Pro at 16 years old!

What 16 year old doesnt look good in a bikini what the f*ck kind of class is this!!

What next man in tuxedo class? Women in dress class?

And before every body starts with the "it makes it more mainstream" argument, I dont care. Chicks in bikinis who dont have muscles have no place on a bodybuilding stage.

Like said by Mr O, everybody wants to be a bodybuilder but nobody wants to lift the heavy ass weights.

not all 16 year olds look good in a bikini :pfft: and if they do, it doesn't mean they'd do well in the class.

standing on stage and looking toned "ALL OVER" whilst still having T & A is something you don't see everyday, and if you do it definietly not on a 16 year old!

When you look at local competitors, everyone thinks that's the standard.. and the truth is that in the case of NZ's youngest pro bikini competitor, she'd struggle against the Bikni Winner at the Pan Pacific Show over the weekend.

we need to promote the different/new classes more and highlight what is needed in these classes on an international stage, and not just in Auckland or Christchurch!

check out Sonia Gonzales and tell me a 16 year old you know thats got the muscle tone and booty that can work it on the stage like her? or better yet tell me she hasn't worked her as off to get into that sort of shape??

http://contests.flexonline.com/contests ... /index.php

our Mr. NZ's don't go comparing themselves to the biggest guys at their gym do they?.. they aspire to the best in the world, which brings our the best in themselves. So why not encourage/promote better quality of competitor instead of simply rubbishing the class? what if they had rubbished Classic mens class because they weren't as Big as the Physique Class. here's hopin ywe'll get more chicks into the sport

Tanned chicks with fake tits and no muscle, big deal. Its not bodybuilding, there are heaps of chicks that look like that, not impressed at all.

They dont lift big weights they dont drop body fat, looks more like a beauty pageant than a bodybuilding competition. And no Sonia doesnt look like shes trained hard she looks like many many other sporty chicks.

I want to be wowed by men and women who have put in the hard yards at the gym.

Well said Super-fly

JimJim: I think you will find that the girls who want to do well in this class do train hard with good weight.

Also we all have to remember we started somewhere and a class like this not only brings money to the sport (for us), it also allows people to start competing and perhaps move into the figure classes once they put the muscle on.

I agree with both comments from Jimjim and Supa. There is room for other classes (never thought I would say that - but there you go :-| ) and then there are some of us who will continually want to see hardcore muscle - sorry but give me Annette and Neralee onstage anyday! :D

However, answer me this question - a 16 year old NZ girl receiving a Pro-Card? How did this come about and what was the last show she did which qualified her for one? Just curious, thought I would ask.

Totally disagree If you want to start bodybuilding you go into a class in as a novice, its like they make a class for people who want to say they are boybuilders but dont put in the effort.

You recon these chicks train with good weights HA doubt it look at their bodies they dont have muscles!

beach

After watching some of the best female bodybuilders in NZ train its an insult to have these "swimsuit" models in the same show. If you want to perv at chicks in bikinis go to the .

How about we start a mens class for skinny guys who carry no muscle and call it the speedo class.

Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder but nobody wants to lift heavy ass weights.

Obviously you don't have a good eye! These girls have muscle but under the judging rules it's not allowed to be hard and defined.

I also know these girls (not all) train hard because I'm currently helping one train.

I'm not going to say I completely agree with the class but the reality is NZ is small and we need to be getting as many people as possible through the doors of comps so the feds can make money. When they make money it benefits us in being sponsored to a greater level. Also with a class like this it's going to introduce more people (be it athletes or spectators) to the sport.

I do have a very good eye because like the bikini class I too have a lot of muscle but like the girls its covered in fat. :pfft:

For me it a matter of creating classes for people who can get in good shape but are unable to take it to the next level and get in great shape. Its like rewarding the losers, guess it a sign of the times where participation is rewarded as much as winning.

Like I said there are heaps of chicks out there who in 4 weeks of dieting/no dieting and a bit of tan could very easily get on stage and compete in bikini. It looks like a class for fat chicks who have toned up a bit. SNORE

More money, maybe but there is no money to be make in bodybuilding as it.

BIG boys and BIG girls all the other sissies can go prance around like clowns elsewere!

I guess as a PT its in your best intrest to have bikini class as there are so many more potential clients out there?

:pfft: :pfft: :pfft: Brilliant I am not a PT far from it. No my girl is training for it, she is already tiny but has a 14 weeks diet and training plan and although the weight she is pushing isn't huge she smashes out better drop sets than some of the guys I see training.

I had to laugh at the comment about bikini girls not having muscle...Sonia is a perfect example of the bikini class in my opinion. She also competes figure aswell.

http://www.hardbody.com/news/category/california-pro/

to say she doesn't have muscle is just ignorant and dumb. As previously mentioned the bikini class still required the training but competition prep is different. It is in no way for 'girls who just can't be bothered'

i say gve the class it's time to attract the correct type of athlete that is wiling to put in the hard yards, and it will be a crowd favourite. weener and ricardo obviously can appreciate the hard work and diet needed to be in that kind of shape :pfft: Bikini girls who'v done their weights and had a good diet plan leading up to their shows will shine through, just like in any other class.

she came first in her class in her last show at the IFBB NZ Pro and Amateur 2010, and before that she placed at NZFBB Akl Champs 2009 (only shows i know of her competing in). IMO she showed great improvement between these two competitions, and can only can only get better especially with youth on her side. but with that said, some regional/national titles under her belt, would give her pro card card alot more credibility.

Yes preperation is different they dont build muscle and carry more fat.

Look at me im a girl whos not vascular not defined but I do work out really really hard as hard as the chicks with with big muscles and awesome definition. RUBBISH.

Its an easy class lets face the facts its harded to look like like a bodybuilder than a curvey chick at the beach.

Your telling me Elisa and Tarryn work out and diet as hard as Annette Neralee and Lisa. HAHAHAHA

She can only get better? f*ck me so pro cards are given to people who have the potential to get better. What a joke giving a pro card to a teenager who looks good in a bikini. No wonder there was only 11 people competing.

Come to my show you will probably get a pro card
